Fysiko Eyelash Growth Serum Review!

I got to test and review Fysiko Eyelash Growth Serum thanks to Fysiko and Sverve. (Sverve is a social network for female bloggers that gives you the opportunity to try new products for free in exchange for an honest review). The following opinions are my own.

Before I started using this product I had fairly nice eyelashes, they were longish but a bit thinner than I wanted. My eyebrows however were in a very sad state. From years of over plucking due to anxiety they were thin, and sparse. I mean really sparse. I had bald spots in my eyebrows. The only thing I could do was use eyebrow pencil to fill it in, but that was getting so tiring. So when I saw the opportunity to try this product out I thought “What can I lose?” Here is what my brows and lashes looked like before:
Yup. See those bald spots in my brows? Those have been there for years. Like I said, my lashes weren’t super bad. But I wanted to see if this product really would make them fuller, and longer. Because who wouldn’t want to be able to walk out of the house without having mascara on? (I used to wear mascara everyday even if I didn’t have other makeup on because I felt my lashes looked so tiny).

So this product’s website claims “Fysiko Eyelash Growth Serum made in USA with natural ingredients. Helps to regrow eyelashes, makes eyelashes fuller and longer within 4-6 weeks. Doubles length and fullness of eyelashes in 8-12 weeks. Full results will be seen in 16 weeks”. Yeah a ton of other products claim this kind of stuff too so I wasn’t going to hold my breath.

For the price of $139.00 you get an 8ml tube. Pricey, yes. But that tube has more than enough serum in it to use on your upper and lower lashes plus your brows every day (at least once a day) for well over 16 weeks.

I’ve been using it now for about six months and I still have a ton in my tube. To use: Apply Fysiko eyelash growth serum to the skin of the eyelid as you would apply liquid eyeliner once a day at night. If applied in the morning, use Fysiko eyelash growth serum before applying mascara and/or contact lenses. 10 -15 min wait required before applying mascara, any eye make up or contact lenses.

Yes, it is really simple to use. The applicator is like a liquid eyeliner brush so you can get really close to your lash base. The website does say you can also use this on your brows and lower lashes. I did both. (WARNING: it does say on the website to be careful using it on lower lashes as it is easy to get into your eyes and will cause stinging/burning. This is true. But it doesn’t cause permanent damage to your eyes).

So I also only used this once daily because I would always forget to use it in the morning, oops! But I did use it every night while doing my nightly routine. I would wash my face first, use the Fysiko on my upper and lower lashes, and my brows. I would wait at least fifteen minutes to make sure it would soak in before doing the rest of my steps.

The website does say it’s all natural ingredients. These are the ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed Glycosaminoglycans, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Extract, Sodium Lactate, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Proline, Yeast Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Biotin, Hydrolized Soy Protein, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Hexapeptide-11, Niacinamide (Vitamin B3), Thyme xtract, Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, Arcyostaphylos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Leaf Extract, Olve Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate,Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) Polysorbate 20, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Sorbitol, Triethanolamine, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylamido Dihydro Noralfaprostal.

Here’s what I found for the ingredients listed that don’t say what it is (most of this was found here): HYDROLYZED GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS is a mixture of polysaccharides derived from the hydrolysis ofanimal connective tissue. It consists essentially of glucosamine and glucuronic acid.

Phenoxyethanol is a preservative used in cosmetics and personal care products.

PROLINE: This ingredient can contain either D, L, or DL-proline, an amino acid. L-proline is the isomer of proline found in proteins. Hexapeptide-11 is a synthetic peptide containing Alanine, Phenylalanine, Proline and Valine residues. palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 (Pal-KTTKS) is a relatively small molecule. It consists of five amino acids linked together and attached to a fatty acid to enhance oil solubility for the sake of better skin penetration.

SODIUM HYALURONATE: Sodium hyaluronate is the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring polysaccharide found in connective tissues such as cartilage.

HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE: is a modified cellulose polymer; used as a gelling and thickening agent.

SORBITOL: (glucitol) is a type of sugar alcohol used as a thickener and a skin conditioning agent.

TRIETHANOLAMINE: is a strongly alkaline substance used as surfactant and pH adjusting chemical.

METHYLISOTHIAZOLINONE: is a widely-used preservative; has been associated with allergic reactions it is a powerful biocide and preservative within the group of isothiazolinones used in personal care products. Lab studies on the brain cells of mammals also suggest that methylisothiazolinone may be neurotoxic (if you are alleric).

Methylamido Dihydro Noralfaprosta: The efficiency of MDN (Methylamido Dihydro Noralfaprostal) has been proven by a variety of studies. MDN is an ophthalmological active ingredient modified for the application in cosmetics which has been used successfully for many years in the US. MDN is able to improve the natural growth of eyelashes and eyebrows and, as a result, to let them become longer and fuller.

I’m no scientist but it all sounds natural to me. And as a bonus: Fysiko eyelash growth serum has never been tested on animals.

So now I will share my after pictures:

From my personal results I would say this is 100% worth the $139 you pay for it. My lashes are now fuller and longer. If I look up my lashes touch my brows! I’m so amazed. Even my bottom lashes have gotten thicker and longer. I am not wearing any makeup in the before or after pictures. You can clearly see with your own eyes how amazing this product truly is. What I’m most amazed with is the fact that the bald patches in my eyebrows have grown back in.

Those bald patches have been there for many years, and now they are gone. My brows grow fairly fast now, and both my lashes and brows have gotten a bit darker from using this product. I want to add that when I say thicker/fuller I don’t only mean that more hair is growing in, I also mean each individual hair/lash is growing in thicker. This really surprised me because I didn’t think that was possible, I always thought what you were born with is what you lived with. If you are looking for an eyelash/eyebrow serum to make them thicker, fuller, darker, longer, etc. I suggest using this one. I’m truly blown away by my results. See reviews here.
